this and that

Today I am going in to the American Womans Club Luxembourg clubhouse as I volunteer there from 12-3 to work at the front desk. The clubhouse is just an apartment but it is nice. We have a seating area for meetings and dvds and books for sale. We also sell groceries, american of course in the kitchen and have different activities going on in the back room. I participate in the quilting, volunteer at the front desk and have given crepe classes during the summer. This came up when I heard someone complaining we had no more bisquick for sale and they couldn't make pancakes. Horror, me being french pancakes are like second nature to me. I can make them blindfolded......... so I organised a few classes and it was great fun.

I made this card at a stamp camp with Jan aka nanjan a few years ago. I gave it to one of my friends for her 50th birthday and she loved it. No stamping which made a change and lots of peeloffs and glitter.

Hi hun, I just saw, that you´d been active on your blog again, and it´s sooo nice to see, so now I guess, I better get back and check more often again. I couldn´t help laughing, when I read, you made classes in making pancakes, which is also something we can all do in our sleep almost, and I think the first all my kids has been able to make themself, as I hate to bake them, but we all just loves to eat them ha ha ha. And they´re so easy to make, but I also know, we did the same in the US last year, as they also loved our pancakes there and I taught them all how to make them themself too ha ha ha.
Soooo great to see you back here in blogland hun and I hope, you´ll get your love for crafting back again very soon too. I know, it happens now and then as I´ve been the same here all summer and just haven´t got much done at all, I´m afraid, but I can also feel how it begins to get back again, so hopefully we´ll both soon be creating full time again.
Have a wonderful day hun and lots of great fun.

We didn't make our crepes did we? I shall just have to come and visit!!!! I'll bring some soda bread and scones! Your card is incredibly delicate and pretty, such subtle hues and I love the way the dragonfly pops through the diamond. I am sure your friend still has it in a very safe place and admires it! Lovely work mon amie!
Bisous!

So very lovely. You really used your bits & pieces to make a stunning card. Love the colors, and have been reading some of your posts. How exciting to live in France, and I have no idea what the crepe class might be. Will be doing further reading, and hope you explain. Don't know how to video but hopefully another follower can help you. I just have to take pictures and try to explain something if I do it. (Usually if I know how it's done, it's probably an old technique I just stumbled upon and got all excited about. LOL) TFS & I'm glad you started a blog. And Thanks to Anne for posting your link. Hugs
